About us

Mai Vision, founded in Belgium in November 2014 and Italy in April 2015, is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to fight against extreme poverty and suffering. Help is given directly to families and individuals in need, via single initiatives, or to local communities where support for larger projects is required.

The name Mai Vision is a combination of the Vietnamese word Mai and the English word Vision. Mai means tomorrow but it’s also the name of a flower which is among the first to bloom in Spring. The name signifies therefore, the vision of the future and it is linked to the new life that Spring always brings. Although Mai Vision was officially established in 2014, it has already been operating in several regions of Vietnam since November 2012. In the future, Mai Vision intends to expand and operate in countries other than Vietnam.

Since July 2017 Mai Vision is granted the Certificate of Operation by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam and becomes an official non-profit organization in in the country.
